A petite and very attractive mahogany-cased clock with an eight-day bell-striking movement.

Richard Stedman was working in Godalming prior to 1773 and until 1839.

This clock was built in the third quarter of the 18th century. The case was later inlaid with delicate urns and beautiful swags of foliage in the late 18th century style. The inlay work is of very good quality and offers an interesting alternative to a plain mahogany case for those who like decorative furniture.
